Rachelle Lefevre
Rachelle Lefevre was born in Canada. Lefevre's first job as an actor resulted from working at a restaurant. A Canadian film director came across her as Lefevre was waiting tables. Lefevre then moved in Los Angeles, where she earned a role in the popular TV series What About Brian (2006). Lefevre was just a teenager and working in the same Montreal restaurant serving sushi, noticed her ambitions to become an actor, and sought out an actor casting director. The result was the role she played on the Canadian sitcom. The actress was featured in several episodes of David E. Kelley's Boston Legal (2004). The show led to her playing a prominent role in the 2008 U.S. adaptation of BBC success Life on Mars. The family of her father is French, though Lefevre grew as a child speaking predominantly English She eventually made the move from Montreal to Los Angeles in 2004 due to a lack of people who spoke English in Montreal. She landed her largest film role yet in Catherine Hardwicke's adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight. The film is the very first in a cult collection of novels for teens.
