Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been as a performer, model as well as an animal rights activist in the United States. Her films include Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) as well as The Getaway ( 1972). Growing up in an artistic family in New York she wished to work in the field of art. She started as a photo assistant then turned to modeling and acting. The award she received was her Golden Globe Award, for most promising newcomer. MacGraw's 1970 movie Love Story was an international hit, earning her an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. With just three movies MacGraw became the most popular female box-office star worldwide. In 1972, her footprints along with her signature were engraved on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. The other films she has appeared on comprise The Getaway Convoy Players, the miniseries on TV The Winds of War and others. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography, of hers was released. MacGraw was married three times.
